A required tool in shodo is a brush called Fude.
It is made of bamboo and animal hair such as horse, sheep, and raccoon.
Ink used is made of soot,it is usually black only.
In some cases, we selectively used light and shade of black.
Japanese when writing in everyday, use a Fude is not common.
For the most part, we use a pencil, ball-point pen.
However, in the elementary school, all Japanese learn to Shodo as a culture.
By Shodo,we master the artistic sensibility and skill.It's ideal for education.
Japanese characters have been created and developed,it is assumed to be written with a Fude.

In Japan, artists of Shodo are many.
They are treated just as painter often,their works too.
They not only produce the works,they are also entertainer and teacher.

Recently,Japanese has increased open the Shodo classroom outside of Japan.
Similarly,many Shodo artists is working outside Japan to get to know wonderfulness of Shodo.
